Artist-Created Original

Kintsugi Child is a deeply meaningful sculpture inspired by the ancient Japanese art of kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold — honoring damage as part of an object’s history rather than something to hide. This piece symbolizes healing, resilience, self-compassion, and the beauty that emerges through life’s challenges.

Kintsugi Child is especially meaningful for those navigating healing journeys, grief, trauma recovery, personal transformation, or inner child work. It offers a gentle reminder that nothing is truly broken — only becoming.

Frequently asked questions

Are these all your originals?

Yes, every piece is an original design by me, Debra Bernier. There are many imitators online, unfortunately, but everything you see here are all my true, authentic creations — shaped from 15 years of art and soul, living on the West Coast of BC. Each order is sent with a card and intention, carrying a part of my spirit and the spirit of the land, to you.

Do you accept commissions?

I don’t take formal commissions, but I love creating new pieces! I’m always happy to explore how my existing designs can be customized to your vision — whether that means feathers, crystals, animals, or other touches. Send me a note to and we’ll see what we can bring to life together.

Do you offer wholesale?

Yes, we do! You can connect with us directly, or through Faire for wholesale options.
We also offer rewards for customers who connect us with wholesale vendors - so get in touch if there's a shop near you that you feel Debra's work would be perfect for :)

How long will it take to receive my order?

Limited Edition pieces ship within 24 hours, and made-to-order pieces ship within 2–5 business days.
Once your order is shipped, you’ll receive your tracking link - delivery times vary by location, but typically take 5–12 business days after shipping. If you need something by a specific date, please reach out and we’ll do our best to help :)

What is your return policy?

We hope you love your order, but if something's not right, please Contact Us first to help fix the situation. Returns are accepted within 30 days.

Are your materials sourced sustainably?

Whenever possible, sustainability guides our material choices. The driftwood used in my sculptures is respectfully collected from very remote beaches and carefully sterilized before use. Bark and shells are sourced through sustainable suppliers whenever available. The natural environment is deeply precious to me, and I make ongoing efforts to minimize impact — including frequently using recycled and eco-conscious packaging materials.
